February2020 福島県南会津にある大内宿は、江戸時代に会津若松市と日光今市を結ぶ重要な道で参勤交代で江戸へ向かう大名や旅人宿場町として栄えました。今でも江戸時代の面影そのままに茅葺屋根の民家が街道沿いに建ち並び、昭和56年には国選定重要伝統的建造物郡保存地区に指定されています。
Ouchijuku Snow Festival
Ouchijuku in Fukushima is a former post town on the road connected Aizu with Nikko during the Edo Period.
Ouchijuku is filled with buildings that are over 300 years old, with traditional that ched roofs and streets with running water to either side. Also of note are Ouchijuku’s shrine and temple.
There are several annual festivals, including one on the second weekend of February for the Ouchijuku Snow Festival.
